Innovation in Legal Recruitment

Change

Innovation

How is legal recruitment changing? What are the new ideas and where are they coming from?

Phil Jepson has had involvement with the legal recruitment market since 1994 when as a partner at Dibb Lupton Broomhead he worked with his head of department in building a new team.

Many things about law firms and their markets have changed since then. The recruitment market and the basic methodologies used by recruiters do not seem to have changed correspondingly.

As part of his MBA, Phil Jepson wrote a dissertation studying Innovation in the Legal Recruitment Market.

The idea wasto look at what has changed in the methodologies of recruiters and the service they provide over the last 10 years, to try to understand the unmet needs of the clients and to identify opportunities for innovation in the future.
